The OMP First 3×2 is a six point saloon harness for use with a head and neck restraint. Part number DA0204EH.

3×2 means three inch lap straps and two inch shoulder straps, and that combination is deliberate rather than a compromise. The wide lap belt spreads crash load across your pelvis. The narrow shoulder belts are the width that locates properly on a HANS yoke, which a three inch strap does not.

If you run a head restraint, this is the belt in the First range to buy. The all three inch First is the one for a car and a class where no restraint is being used.

Six point, aircraft style buckle, clip in fittings. Black, blue, red, or black with fluorescent yellow.

The First range is OMP’s entry level line, aimed at clubman racers who want current standards without professional prices. On a harness that means the same approval as the belts above it with heavier hardware.

Fitting

Get the anchor points settled before the belts arrive. Shoulder straps must run level or slightly downward from your shoulders, never upward, and seat height is what decides that. Fit the seat first.

Ask us for the expiry date on current stock, because FIA belts carry a date printed on the label and tied to manufacture rather than to purchase.

How long does an FIA harness last?
Every FIA harness carries a not-valid-after date on its label, and that date is what the scrutineer checks. Our guide on how long FIA harnesses last explains the labelling, and buying new gets you the freshest date available.

Does it work with a HANS device?
No. Only 6-point FIA harnesses work with a HANS device: not 4-point belts and not road harnesses. If you run or plan a HANS, look at the 6-point FIA belts in the range.

What does it mount to?
A harness needs proper anchor points: a harness bar, cage, or the car’s designed mounting points, plus a seat with the right slots. Tell us the car and seat and we will confirm the mounting plan before you order.

Availability

OMP deliveries arrive every two weeks

OMP produce in batches and we receive their products on a fortnightly basis, so their most popular seats, harnesses and equipment are generally available for quick dispatch.

Reclining sport seats and less common trims are brought in to order, so those take longer.
