The DA0202HSL is OMP’s pull-down six-point saloon harness. Pull-down describes the shoulder adjustment method: you tighten the shoulder straps by pulling on the loose end that hangs below the buckle. This is the more common direction on competition harnesses and generally easier to operate when the harness is already cinched around you.
FIA 8853-2016 approval. Six-point, aircraft buckle. Installation is wrap-around or carabiner style, which means the shoulder straps loop around a bar or hook to a carabiner anchor point rather than clipping to a bracket. This suits cars with a roll cage or harness bar with round tubing already fitted.
Shoulder width is 2 inches. For HANS and FHR use, 2-inch shoulders are the correctly specced width. The yoke on a HANS device is designed around 2-inch geometry. Available in black or red. Application is saloon.
The difference between this harness and the DA0205HSL Convertible and DA0205BHSL Endurance in the same range is the installation method: those two are clip-in; this one is wrap-around and carabiner. If the car has a full cage with round tubing, wrap-around is the preferred method. If the car uses a harness bar or rear eyebolt mounting without round cage tubing, clip-in is usually the cleaner fit. All three are the same price and carry the same FIA 8853-2016 approval.
