The Office Chair Adaptor Plate is the part that lets a base mount sports seat bolt onto a gas lift office base. It is the flat laser cut steel plate in the middle of the sandwich: the seat bolts down onto the top face, and the office base column and swivel mechanism pick up on the large central hole underneath. Part number B301830.
Look at the plate and you can see why it works across more than one seat. The four outer edges carry a mix of round holes and slots rather than a single fixed hole pattern, so the seat frame can be picked up at different widths and shifted a little fore and aft before you tighten it down. The four large cut outs in the middle take weight out of the plate without taking strength out of the corners, which is where the load goes.

This listing is the plate on its own. There is no seat and no base with it. It is the right thing to order if you already have a height adjustable office base and need the piece that joins it to a sports seat, or if you are replacing a plate that came with an older base kit and has been lost or bent.
