The Volkswagen Corrado ran from 1988 to 1995 and was the performance coupe of the Golf Mk2 and early Golf Mk3 era. The VR6 variant in particular is the reason the Corrado has retained value and a dedicated following: the 2.9-litre narrow-angle V6 was genuinely fast in period and is still an entertaining engine. The Corrado sits on a modified Golf Mk2 floorpan and has a lower seating position than either the Golf or the Jetta of the same generation, which makes seat height a more critical measurement than it is in the hatchback.
This Corbeau sub-frame is designed for the Corrado’s floor fixing layout. The Corrado’s modified Golf Mk2 floor has specific fixing positions that differ from the standard Golf Mk2 configuration, which is why this is listed separately. The sub-frame uses the original bolt points, and the kit may be a complete replacement frame with sliding runner or an adaptation bracket arrangement depending on the specific configuration Corbeau have developed for this floor.
