The Opel Kadett C ran from 1973 to 1979 and found its way into club rallying and touring car events almost from the start. The Kadett GT/E with its 2.0-litre engine became a recognisable name in European circuit racing in the late 1970s, and the surviving cars have stayed with motorsport-oriented owners. The floor and tunnel geometry reflects its era: it is narrower at the transmission tunnel than later hatchbacks, which makes seat positioning more of an exercise than it looks on paper.
This Corbeau sub-frame is matched to the Kadett C’s floor fixing positions. The kit works off the original bolt points rather than requiring fresh drilling into 50-year-old floorpan steel, which matters given that structural drilling on a car of this age carries real risk. Depending on the specific configuration developed for the Kadett C floor, the kit may be a complete replacement frame with a sliding runner or an adaptation bracket set.
