The ST has its own frame

There is a separate Corbeau frame for the standard Focus Mk2, also at 289.50, and this one is specific to the ST 225. The ST uses different seat mounting to the ordinary Mk2, so the two are not interchangeable.

The Mk1 Focus frame is a different part again at 245. If you are working from a photograph or a forum post rather than the car in front of you, check with us first.

What the price covers

Not for side-mounted seats, which is Corbeau’s statement rather than ours. Fitting a side-mount bucket? Ask us and we will list the mounting that works. Who it is for: a base-mounted Corbeau seat, either a Sportline recliner or a Classic bucket. Runners are included, double locking ones, and the figure is per frame, per seat. Two seats, two frames. The photo is a stand-in, since some cars get a full replacement frame and some get runners and brackets that bolt to the standard base.

Which you need depends on the seat. Tell us the seat and we will confirm.

Height and harnesses

The ST 225 is a fast road and track car more often than not, and the standard seat sits high. Dropping into a proper seat on a proper frame is the single biggest change to how the car feels through a corner, but it also changes your harness geometry, so mention it if you are running one.

What's included?

What will be in the box? There are several types of seat frames which may be supplied depending on the vehicle and application. You may receive 1 of the following 4 types. If you are using them with a certain seat, please contact us in advance for professional advice.

#1. A full replacement frame with a sliding runner and resisitor kit
#2. A full replacement frame with a sliding runner
#3. A full replacement frame only
#4. An adaption bracket kit

Additional seat belt brackets: Each seat frame can be used for a variety of applications including road car reclining seats throuh to Motorsport FIA seats. Seat belt brackets are not required in a range of application so manufacturers generally do not supply them with their frame kits. If you require seat belt brackets please contact us in advance

Bolt point tolerances:

Please note that OMP, Sparco and various other brands have a +/- 10mm tolerance on the bolt point locations on each of their sub-frames. This means that when installing the equipment into your vehicle, you may find that one or more of the bolt points may need extending for a perfect fit.

This is normal and, when installed by a skilled professional, it may only add five minutes to the total installation time. A prime example is the OMP Renault Clio MK3 frames and the BMW E46 frames as two bolt points need extending by 5mm in 75% of installations.

Drilling of frames and equipment may be required to complete your installation.

Matching seats and frames:

There are over half a dozen different bolt patterns in the industry for base mounted seats. There are over 30 different bolt patterns for side mounted seats. Aftermarket frames from different brands will have different bolt location points. 

Seats and frames are not a direct fit between brands. Seat frames are also not suitabled for OEM seats (Fitted into a vehicle from the factory) Please ensure to contact us for professional advice before purchasing your seat frames. We will be able to provide you a recommendation as to which seat frame is right for which seat.

Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Corbeau frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.

Is this for the driver or passenger side?
Both sides are available on this listing, pick driver or passenger side at the point of order (sides listed are for right-hand-drive cars). Left-hand-drive car? Ask us, as the sides swap over and availability varies by model.

FIA bucket seats are built to order, typically 3 to 7 days from the day you order. Kevlar and carbon shells take longer, so ask us if you are working to a date.

Reclining sport seats are also made to order in your chosen trim, and run to a similar timescale.
