The Fiat Grande Punto, produced from 2005 to 2012 on the FIAT 199 platform, covered a broad range including the naturally aspirated 1.4 T-Jet and the turbocharged Abarth variants. The Abarth Grande Punto and Punto Evo are the most motorsport-oriented versions, and both have found their way into club events and sprint championships. The 199 platform seats sit relatively upright from the factory, which works against the Abarth’s otherwise well-sorted chassis in competition.
This Corbeau sub-frame is matched to the Grande Punto’s floor fixing positions. The FIAT 199 floor has its own bolt pattern that differs from the earlier Punto Mk2 and from the Bravo platform that ran alongside it. The sub-frame works from the original floor points without drilling, placing the Corbeau seat at the height and angle the mounting geometry requires. Depending on the specific configuration for this floor, the kit may be a complete replacement frame with a sliding runner or an adaptation bracket set.
