The Cobra Nogaro Speedster in houndstooth, a low backed fixed back bucket. Part number Cobra-Nogaro-Speedster-Houndstooth.
Houndstooth is a period pattern rather than a modern one, and that is the point of it. It was a genuine trim on performance cars of the sixties and seventies, so on a Cobra shell it reads as correct rather than as decoration. Classic black and white check, let into the centre panel rather than printed.
The Speedster is the low backed member of the Nogaro family: 700mm tall against 910mm for the Circuit and Street, everything else the same shell at 560mm wide, 490mm across the base, 710mm deep, 7.5kg. Specified for drivers under 6ft.
One piece fibreglass, fixed back, side mount only. Harness slots for a 4 point belt. Road and Track approved rather than FIA homologated.
Hand trimmed in the UK. Seat only. Tell us the car and we will match mounts and a subframe.
What is this seat?
This is the Cobra Nogaro Speedster shell in the houndstooth trim option, made to order. Houndstooth is a trim finish, it does not change the shape, approval or mounting of the standard Cobra Nogaro Speedster seat: 4 point harness slots, sized for under 6ft drivers.
Will my existing frame or brackets still fit it?
Yes. The shell, shape and mounting are the same as the plain Cobra Nogaro Speedster, so any bracket, frame or fitting kit that suits the standard version fits this one too.
Will I fit in this seat?
Waist size and height are the maker's paper numbers. How a seat actually feels to sit in and climb out of is a different question, so call us with your height and waist and we will give you the honest answer.
How long does it take?
Made to order. Tell us if you need it for a specific date and we will confirm the current lead time before you order.
Yes, we have covered this exact seat: How To Add More Lumbar Support To A Cobra Nogaro Bucket Seat. The houndstooth trim does not change the shell, so the same fix applies.
