Side mounts first: a Recaro seat hangs on its own fixed or flexible side mounts, which bolt to this frame. Recaro’s homologation covers the seat with its side mounts as a system; the mounts are listed separately.
Model notes
Two frames, one per side, for the 2003 to 2012 A3, S3 and Sportback, the 8P. The 8L before it and the 8V after have different floors and their own frames. The 8P shares its platform with the Octavia Mk2, and the same Recaro frame is listed under that car too.
What it is
The frame is the car side of the fitting. It bolts to the floor through the factory points and gives the seat something made for this car to sit on.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Recaro frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.
