Seats and mounts in one order, handed for driver and passenger. In an MX-5 buying them together matters more than in most cars, because cabin width and head clearance are both tight and a seat and mount chosen separately can each be right and still not work together.
The seats
The Recaro Pole Position with ABE. ABE is a German road approval, which is the reason this seat turns up in road cars where an FIA bucket would be awkward: it is a genuine fixed back competition shape that is properly homologated for road use.
It is one of the more comfortable fixed back shells to live with, which in an MX-5 that still does road miles is worth paying for.
The mounts
PCI sliding sub frames for the NC chassis, laser cut and CNC formed from one piece of 1/8 inch carbon steel, bolting to the factory seat mounting points so nothing is drilled. The slider bolts to the base with four bolts rather than the usual two, and the seats still move fore and aft afterwards.
