OMP TRS-E VS TRS-X Bucket Seat
We are comparing the OMP TRS-X and the TRS-E seats which are both steel frame fixed back bucket seats with similar designs but with slight differences that suit different types of drivers. They are both great value for money, perfect for entry level drivers. The OMP TRS-X has a more flair design with harder material around the most commonly used areas prone to wear and tear for longer-lasting use, unlike the TRS-E which has Velour trim all over. Also, the TRS-X is more suited for taller drivers whereas the TRS-E is best suited for smaller drivers. This is because the TRS-X has a taller back with a longer head support area.Â

Our driver has a great fitment in the OMP TRS-E bucket seat as his shoulders rest against the shoulder supports with plenty of room for harness belts to reach the harness slots over his shoulders at the back of the seat. This is one of many things we look out for to make sure you fit the seat, another would be where your head lies on the seat to make sure your head receives enough support. The driver we used is the correct height for this seat as his head is being supported by the top of the seat.Â

The OMP TRS-X Bucket Seat...
This is the OMP TRS-X Steel framed bucket seat that looks outstanding with a design like no other steel frame seat. This newly developed seat is a Clubman competition seat that has been designed to accommodate drivers of different stature. The seat has a range of new features including larger harness slots to allow for the taller or smaller driver! The seat offers a narrow external design whilst maintaining a decent width to accommodate the broader driver, making it suitable for more narrow vehicles as well as average-sized vehicles. We have the black and yellow version in-store available for immediate dispatch or collection from our showroom as well as an all-black version that you can find on our online store.Â
We’ve always found the OMP range of FIA seats to be extremely popular and the introduction of the TRS-X was a good call by OMP. The TRS-X has always been a great entry-level FIA product but the design flare on the TRS-X just pushes it above the competition within this price bracket. We think it’s a great seat and one of the best in its class.
The OMP TRS-E Bucket Seat...
The TRS-E seat from OMP is an excellent entry-level competition seat. Constructed from a tubular steel frame and trimmed in a hard-wearing velour fabric or synthetic leather. The seat also features removable leg cushions, 5 harness slots, and is side or base mounted. This seat is available in black, red, and blue on our online store. We have the blue version on display at our showroom ready for viewing and sitting in and is available for immediate dispatch or collection.Â
The OMP TRS Bucket Seat Range...
All the seats below in the OMP TRS collection are all very similar in size and shape, however, they have different trims such as classic vinyl or waterproof materials. The TRS-E has a slightly different head support shape compared to the TRS-X and is shorter, making it more suitable for smaller drivers under 6ft. The TRS-E seat from OMP is an excellent entry-level competition seat.
