Mirco Head Support FIA Motorsport Seats

Mirco make three FIA seats with head support: the RS1, the RS2 and the RS7. We have all three on our website and on display in our showroom, in black 3D spacer fabric with black fibreglass shells, ready to sit in and try.
All three have large head supports and high leg supports, but they are different shapes and sizes. We sat a 5ft 10in driver with a 32 inch waist in them, wearing a helmet, to show how they fit. Here is how they compare.

The three Mirco head support seats
The Mirco RS1 has a comfortable, ergonomic shape with removable lumbar and leg supports, so it can be tailored to suit the driver. It gives good head support and a snug fit.
The RS2 gives the same kind of head support in a different shell, and it suits drivers of any height. The RS7 is the newest of the three and the top of Mirco’s FIA range. It has very large shoulder and head protection structures, so it gives the most support of the three, which suits drivers taking part in more demanding motorsport.
Our listings put all three at a 32 to 36 inch waist. Garreth’s advice is to come and sit in them, because the shapes feel different even where the sizes are the same.
Our driver is 5ft 10in with a 32 inch waist, and he wore his helmet for the photographs, because a head support seat only makes sense with a helmet inside it. What we look for is the helmet sitting inside the head supports, with the shoulders against the shoulder supports.

Trims, colours and personal touches
The seats in the showroom are the standard black 3D spacer fabric with black fibreglass shells, and they are ready to dispatch or collect. On the website there are many more options. Mirco FIA seats can be ordered with different coloured shells, trims and stitching, and with personal name embroidery, and the trims include 3D spacer fabric, vinyl and velour.
Mirco seats have real character, and they stand out next to other brands on the display. The full Mirco FIA range also includes the popular GT 3D, and if you want something the listings do not show, ask us and we will see what Mirco can do.
Harness and side mount bundles
Every Mirco FIA seat now has a TRS 6 point FIA harness available as a bundle item at the checkout. These seats have the harness slots for a proper 6 point installation. The TRS FIA harnesses come in a range of colours and end fittings, with the eyebolts included.
We have also added Endurance Motorsport side mounts as a bundle item. We have tried them in the showroom and they line up with the side bolting points on the Mirco FIA seats, which makes for a safe, secure fit. Our guide to side mounts and base mounts explains the rest of the fitting.
