Lotus Exige bucket seat guide
S1/S2 (2000-2011) and Exige S V6 (2012-2015)
The Exige has been built on two completely different chassis. The S1 and S2, 2000 to 2011, share the Elise’s chassis and floor mounting points. The Exige S V6, 2012 to 2015, is built on the Evora platform, a structurally different car. Kit that fits one does not fit the other, so this guide covers them in separate sections. Confirm which you have before ordering anything below.

- Corbeau's Elise-fit bucket seats (LE-Standard, LE-Pro) fit the S1/S2 directly onto the factory EliseVX subframe
- The Reverie Mulsanne subframe is confirmed for the Elise, Exige S2, and Exige S3, and is the mounting route for the later car
- Roll cages are engine and chassis specific: separate Safety Devices kits exist for the Elise S2/Exige S2 (Toyota engine) and the Exige S V6 (2012-2015)
- Harnesses above 3-point need a roll cage or a properly engineered harness bar
Bucket seats: Exige S1/S2 (2000-2011)
These fit directly onto the factory EliseVX subframe shared by the Elise and the Elise-chassis Exige. The LE-X at £510 and LE-Standard at £530 are the accessible starting points. The LE-Pro range steps up in construction: System 1 at £550, System 3 at £630, and System 5 at £710, built from full carbon and designed for both road and track use.

Seats for the Elise-chassis ExigeWhich bucket seat for an Exige S1/S2
The LE-Standard at £530 gives up some support for everyday usability, with removable centre cushions and optional pneumatic lumbar. The LE-Pro System 5 at £710 is the one to choose if you want the strongest support Corbeau offer for this fitting, with low side supports that still work as an everyday seat.
Roll cage and harnesses: Exige S1/S2
The Safety Devices Elise S2 (Toyota Engine) and Exige S2 cage covers the Bolt-In Rear Roll Cage at £806, or the full 6 Point Bolt-In Roll Cage at £1332. Both mount to the sills and replace the original roll hoop. Trim and bodywork modification is required, and the rear screen needs replacing with a Lexan sheet, not supplied. Not a DIY fit.
The Schroth Lotus II ASM 4-point at £341.47, also sold as a black pair at £682.94, is built specifically for this chassis. The Schroth Lotus II-FE ASM 4-point at £420.76 is the upgraded version.

Bucket seats: Exige S V6 (2012-2015)
The Evora-based V6 does not share the Elise-chassis subframe. The Reverie Mulsanne C/XC/XR C Seat Subframe Conversion Kit at £72.44 is confirmed for the Elise, Exige S2, and Exige S3, and is the mounting route here, pairing with Reverie’s own seat range: the Mulsanne C Twin Skin Low Back at £1090.37, or the Super Sports FIA Carbon at £1253.

Common questions
How do I know which Exige I have?
The S1 and S2, 2000 to 2011, share the Elise chassis and have the more rounded, roadster-derived shape. The Exige S V6, 2012 to 2015, is built on the Evora platform. If you are not sure, send us the registration and we will confirm.
Can I use the Elise-chassis kit on my S V6?
No. The Evora-based car has different floor mounting points. Use the Reverie subframe and the Exige S V6-specific cage instead.
Is roll cage fitting a DIY job?
No, for either generation. Trim and bodywork modification is required, and the rear screen needs replacing with a Lexan sheet, not supplied.
Can I run a 6-point harness without a roll cage?
No. A 6-point harness needs anchor points above and behind the seat for the shoulder straps. Fit a roll cage or a properly engineered harness bar first.
