Honda Jazz GD Bucket Seat Guide (2006-2007)

The first-generation GD Jazz

A 2006 or 2007 Jazz enquiry starts with the GD generation. Cameron would check that chassis detail before discussing the seat. Garreth would use the first-generation Planted bracket as the mounting starting point.

Cameron would then check which side of the car you are fitting. Garreth would keep the bracket, runner and seat choice together so that the order reflects the full assembly.

Jazz and Fit names refer to the same application family

Planted lists the first-generation bracket as Honda Fit 2001-2008, part family SB362, using the name given to the Jazz in other markets.

For the 2006-2007 GD Jazz covered here, start with that first-generation listing and confirm the chassis and steering side with us. The year on a registration document is useful, but the generation and mounting side are the details needed to select the bracket.

Choose the right side and mounting assembly

The product options include right-hand-drive applications. Select the driver or passenger side for your own car. A US manufacturer page describing “driver left” does not identify the driver side of a UK right-hand-drive Jazz.

Above the floor bracket, a base-mounted seat may need a compatible runner. A side-mounted bucket also needs the appropriate side mounts. Match the hole pattern at every joint and check the resulting seated height before settling on the parts.

What to measure before choosing a seat

  • The seat base width and shoulder width, checked against the centre tunnel and door trim.
  • The space above your head at your preferred driving position.
  • The adjustment needed by each person who uses the car, including access to the runner handle.

Send us the proposed seat model and its mounting drawing if you already have a particular shell in mind. The bracket application confirms the floor connection. Each proposed seat still needs checking against the complete assembly.

Have a later Jazz?

For a second-generation GE car, use our Honda Jazz GE seat guide. That guide uses a different Planted application.

Our starting recommendation

For your GD Jazz, Cameron would start with the chassis, steering side and proposed seat, then Garreth would narrow the order to the parts that suit the car and your driving position.

Send us those details through our contact page, or call 0115 647 8650 and we can work through the options with you.
