GTR Drivers Club At Autosport International 2023
Earlier this month we, at GSM Performance, visited the Autosport International Show to see what 2023 has installed for us. This is one of the biggest motorsport shows of the year with top brands showcasing their new collections and impressive cars on display. It was great to see that the GTR drivers club was out in force at the show, they had all the generations of Nissan Skyline GTR’s from the R32 through to the latest GTR. Which one is your favourite?

History About The Nissan Skyline
The Nissan Skyline is a legend in the car community and has been used in countless motorsport events, races, and championships. The First Skyline was introduced back in 1957, originally built by Japan’s Prince Motor Company. The Skyline started to evolve after 1966 into a performance-bred sportscar, little did they know how successful the Skyline would be in motorsport.
The Skyline went through many phases through the years but it wasn’t till 1989 when they released the R32 Skyline the pioneer of the GTR of today was introduced. The R32 was one of the most successful racing cars out of all the Skyline models, it had a big successful racing history on its shoulders and it didn’t disappoint. It won every race it started with 29 race wins in a row over four seasons. This was when the legend of the GTR was born.Â
The first performance-bred and GTR model Nissan Skyline was the Skyline 2000 GTR where Nissan first got major success in the racing scene. The 2000 GTR destroyed the competition in Japan’s touring races, winning 52 races in the first three years of competition. This performance is carried through the years into future generation Skylines.Â
