Bespoke Mirco Seats Arrive In-Store

A big delivery of Mirco fixed-back bucket seats has just landed, and many of them are going straight back out to customers. We always enjoy it when bespoke seats come through the showroom: every one has been designed by its owner, and no two look the same.
They show how far you can take a Mirco seat. The shell colour, the stitching, the embroidery and the trim material are all choices. Here are the custom RTS-2, S3000 and RTX-7 seats that came through our quality check this week, and what else is new on our Mirco display.

Custom Mirco RTS-2 bucket seats
Two RTS-2 seats came in for their quality check, and between them they show the two easiest ways to make a Mirco your own. One had custom embroidery, which lets you put a design or a name on the seat. The other had a red shell, one of the seven shell colours Mirco offers on its seats.
We keep the RTS-2 in standard black 3D trim on display so it can be tried in the showroom.
The RTS-2 is a fibreglass FIA 8855-1999 seat, side mounted, that takes a 4 or 6 point harness. It comes in two widths, for a 32 to 36 inch or a 36 to 40 inch waist, which makes it one of the easiest Mirco seats to fit to most people.
Custom Mirco S3000 bucket seats
The S3000 is a deep fibreglass bucket with removable leg and back supports, so the fit can be adjusted to the driver. Once you are in it, you do not move around much.
The pair that came in had white diamond stitching on black. The S3000 is a road and track seat, not an FIA homologated one, so it suits fast road and track day cars.
Custom Mirco RTX-7 bucket seats
The RTX-7 pair had fluorescent green stitching and logos, which really stands out against the black. The RTX-7 is an FIA 8855-1999 fibreglass seat with a comfortable, supportive shape and removable lumbar and leg supports.
We keep the RTX-7 on display in black 3D spacer fabric and velour, and it is a seat we are very happy with: it holds a wide range of drivers well.
Our Mirco showroom display
This delivery also brought a batch of Mirco FIA seats carrying the latest FIA dates for the new year, so our display now has every Mirco FIA seat model on it to sit in and try. Side by side with other brands, the Mirco style really stands out.

Personalising a Mirco seat
We list the full Mirco FIA range, including the GT 3D, the GT Olive and GT Classic editions, the RTS-2, the RTX-7 and the RS7, a deeper shell for drivers who want more hold. On every FIA seat you can choose the shell colour, the trim, the stitching, logos and name embroidery, with trims including 3D spacer fabric, vinyl and velour.
Each Mirco FIA seat can be bundled with a TRS 6 point FIA harness, and the seats have the harness slots to suit it. We also added Endurance Motorsport side mounts as a bundle option; we tried them in the showroom and they line up with the side bolting points on the Mirco FIA seats.
Garreth’s advice for a bespoke seat is to sit in the standard version first, then build the design around the size that fits you.

How many shell colours does Mirco offer?

Is the Mirco S3000 FIA approved?
No. The S3000 is a road and track seat and is not FIA homologated.
