We sat down with the official Sparco Martini Racing catalogue this week and went through it line by line, partly because we stock most of it across our two stores, and partly because the calls about it usually start the same way: what is actually in the range, and what do the stripes cost over the standard kit?
This page covers the half of the collection that lives on this store: the seats, the harnesses and the sim kit. The helmets, race suit, gloves and boots live on our GSM Performance store, and there is a link to that half further down. Everything below was in stock when this went up, and where something is built to order we have said so.

What the collection actually is
The stripes ran on Porsche and Lancia works cars through the seventies and eighties, and Sparco holds the official licence to put them on race equipment today. What lands in the catalogue is the standard Sparco product underneath: the Pro 2000 QRT in this range is the same FIA shell as the plain one, trimmed in the Martini colours and built as a limited edition in period correct navy or grey.
That matters because it means nothing here is dress-up kit with a sticker on it. The seats carry the same FIA 8855-1999 papers as their plain versions, the competition harnesses are FIA 8853-2016, and the road items are the same seats and belts we sell every week in black. You are choosing a colourway, and the approvals come with it.
The three seats
Pro 2000 QRT Martini
The club racing favourite in Martini trim. FIA 8855-1999 fibreglass shell, side or base mount, HANS friendly, limited edition in navy or grey.
Legend Martini
The flagship of the range. A Kevlar shell with retro styling and the same FIA papers, in navy or grey. The seat the catalogue is built around.
R100 Martini
The road seat. A steel framed recliner with the stripes woven in, base mount on the standard 345mm pattern, sold as a single or a pair.

The fitment question is the same as for the plain versions of these seats, because underneath they are the plain versions. The R100 sits on the standard Sparco 345mm x 271mm base pattern, so it drops onto the same subframes and runners as any Sparco recliner. The two buckets need a fitting frame for your car, and the Pro 2000 QRT gives you the choice of side or base mounting. Working out that combination is Cameron’s job here, so if you are unsure what your car needs, ring with the model and he will price the frame and runners alongside the seat.

The three harnesses
Three belts in the range, and they split cleanly: two competition harnesses with current FIA papers, and one road belt for the car that gets driven to the circuit.

Both six point belts run 2 inch shoulder and lap webbing. Colour options are black, blue or red depending on the belt.
The Prime H-9 is the top of Sparco’s harness tree with the aircraft style buckle, and the H-2 PD does the same job for less than half the money with a standard rotary buckle. Both carry the same FIA 8853-2016 approval, so for most club racers the H-2 PD is the honest buy and the H-9 is the one you choose because the rest of the car is done to that standard. The 3 point double release is a different animal: a road harness for holding you in an R100 on a B road, and it makes no claim to be competition kit.

The sim corner, and one for the desk
Sparco put the stripes on the gaming side of their range too, and we keep both pieces on this store. The Icon is an office and gaming chair with the Martini trim, the sort of thing that ends up in a study and gets more hours than the race car. The Evolve-R is the sim racer seat for a proper rig, the same shape thinking as their competition shells scaled for the living room.
And because someone always asks when they spot it on the shelf: yes, that is a 1:43 radio controlled Porsche drift car in the Martini colours, and at under fifty pounds it has ended more than one gift conversation in the showroom.

Putting a Martini car together
The range is built so the pieces match, and three combinations cover almost everyone who rings about it:
The club racer. Pro 2000 QRT with the Competition H-2 PD. Current FIA papers on both, £882 a side for seat and belt, and the navy shell with a blue belt looks factory.
The full retro build. Legend with the Prime H-9. This is the money-no-object version and the one the catalogue photographs. If the car wears the livery, this is the interior it deserves.
The road car. R100 pair with the 3 point double release belts. Under £940 for both seats and both belts, reclining, and it goes in on standard Sparco subframes.
The racewear half of the range
The catalogue does not stop at the car. The Martini helmets run from a £126 open face for track days up to the RJ-i with a fitted intercom, and there is an FIA race suit, gloves, boots and the replica eighties mechanics suit to go with them. What we would pick
Garreth’s call, and he has been consistent on this since the range arrived: the Pro 2000 QRT is the best value thing in the catalogue. It is a current FIA seat for £660 that happens to look better than anything else on the grid, and the limited edition tag means it will not be around forever. The Legend is a wonderful thing, but it is a £1,649 seat and you buy it with your heart.
Cameron’s advice before any of it is ordered: treat the Martini versions exactly like the plain ones on fitment. Common questions
Is the Martini kit actually different underneath?
The shells, frames and webbing are the standard Sparco products with the same approvals. What changes is the trim, the colourways and, on the seats, the limited edition production run.
Which colours do the seats come in?
The Pro 2000 QRT and the Legend come in period correct navy or grey, both with the stripes. The R100 is black with the Martini stripe trim.
Do the seats come with mounting hardware?
They are supplied seat only, like the plain versions. The buckets need a fitting frame for your car and the R100 needs a subframe and runners. Ring us with the car and we will quote the full package.
Which harness goes with which seat?
Both six point belts suit the two buckets, and the H-2 PD is the value pick of the pair. The 3 point double release is the road belt for the R100. If you run a HANS device, both six point belts are HANS specific, so tell us before ordering.

How long will the range be available?
