Come With Us To Gravity Show 2024
Show report, August 2024
Gravity came to the NEC in Birmingham on 24 and 25 August 2024, and we went along for the weekend. The show is run by Slammed UK and it is one of the big dates in the UK modified car calendar: halls full of low, wide and heavily built cars, with supercars and hypercars mixed in among the club builds.
Alongside the cars there were live shows inside and out, trade stands for wrapping and detailing, and a busy awards session on the Sunday. Here is what we enjoyed most.
- Gravity 2024 ran at the NEC Birmingham on 24 and 25 August
- The show is run by Slammed UK, with the stance scene at its heart
- Liberty Walk brought a stand of widebody builds and merchandise
- Crewsade ran live drift demos across the weekend
- A Max Power era display brought back the modified cars of the 90s and 2000s

Low cars and the Liberty Walk stand
As you would expect at a show called Gravity, the stance scene ruled the halls. Most of the cars were sitting as close to the floor as their owners could get them, on wide wheels with a lot of camber.
The Liberty Walk stand was a highlight. It had a line-up of their widebody builds, all slammed to the floor with the bolt-on arches and aero the brand is known for, some of their newest projects, and merchandise for sale. The white Countach in our main photo drew a crowd all weekend.
The trade stands were worth a walk round too. Brands used show cars to display their parts, and there were stands for wrapping, detailing and paint protection with plenty of people asking questions.
For us the interiors are the draw. We spend a lot of a show looking through windows to see which seats, harnesses and frames people have chosen, and how they have been fitted.

Live shows and the Crewsade drift demo
Outside, Crewsade ran live drift demos through the weekend, with tandem runs, burnouts and stunts in front of a packed crowd. Inside there were BMX and lowrider shows, so there was always something happening between walks round the halls.
The Max Power era display
A nice change from the modern builds was the outdoor display of cars from the Max Power era of the late 90s and early 2000s. These were the cars that filled the magazine racks for years: big body kits, bold paint, and games consoles and screens built into the interiors.
Owners had music playing and games running inside the cars, and the atmosphere round that area was brilliant.
The Gravity 2024 awards
Towards the end of the show the judges handed out around 20 awards across different categories, with some presented by the event's sponsors, including Hot Wheels, Liberty Walk and Forged Irish Stout. They were announced and celebrated on the main stage.
There were awards for wheels, interiors, wraps and paint, and the top prize, best in show, went to a wild modified Porsche drag build.

Garreth’s advice for a show car is to plan the interior with the outside: send us photos of the car and we will suggest seats and harnesses that suit it. You can also see how the show looked a year later in our report from Gravity Show 2025.
