Bespoke Mirco Seats In-Store Showcase
Showroom news, July 2024
A big delivery of Mirco fixed back bucket seats has just arrived, and many of them are going straight back out to the customers who ordered them. We always enjoy seeing bespoke seats pass through the showroom, and this batch shows what can be done with a Mirco: the shell colour, the stitching, the embroidery, the trim material and the colour are all the customer's choice.
Here are three of the custom seats from the delivery, before they head off to be fitted, along with a look at our Mirco display for 2024.
- A large delivery of Mirco bucket seats in July 2024
- Custom seats in the batch: the RTS-2, the Classic and the MX5
- Choice of shell colour, stitching, trim, embroidery and name
- The RTS-2 and Classic are approved to FIA 8855-1999
- The MX5 is a road and track seat with no FIA approval
- Every Mirco FIA model on display in the showroom to try

What is on this page
A custom Mirco RTS-2
The RTS-2 is the updated version of Mirco's RTS for 2024. This pair has a black 3D fabric trim with contrasting stitching and embroidery chosen by the customer.
It is a fibreglass, fixed back, side mounted seat, approved to FIA 8855-1999, with removable lumbar and leg support so the fit can be tailored to the driver. It takes a four or six point harness and is HANS friendly. We have one on display, and it has been a hit with customers since it arrived, as it suits a wide range of driver sizes.

A custom Mirco Classic
The Classic is Mirco's period shaped shell, made for historic and sports cars, and this pair has black trim with blue stitching and blue embroidery. It is fibreglass, approved to FIA 8855-1999, with a removable leg support.
We have tried the Classic in the showroom and we have been impressed by the build quality and how comfortable and supportive it is. For a car that needs a current FIA label without the look of a modern bucket, it is one we recommend at this price.

A custom Mirco MX5
The most unusual trim in the delivery is the pair in the photo at the top of this page: Mirco MX5 seats in brown vinyl with houndstooth centre and base cushions and a white shell. The panels work well together, and they would suit a classic car build.
The MX5 is a fibreglass bucket with a deep seat that keeps you in place, and removable leg and back support to tailor the fit. It has no FIA approval, so it is a seat for road and track days, not for competition.

Our Mirco display for 2024
We have also received a batch of Mirco seats for 2024 carrying the latest FIA dates, and our display now has every Mirco FIA model ready to sit in and try. These seats are stocked in the showroom, ready to dispatch or collect, and our Speed+ page lists the exact models and trims we hold in pairs.
The range runs from the GT 3D and its Olive and Classic editions up to the RS7, which has the most support in the FIA range thanks to its large shoulder and head protection, and suits drivers in more demanding events. Trim options include 3D spacer fabric, vinyl and velour, with coloured shells, stitching, logos and name embroidery.
Harnesses and side mounts
Every Mirco FIA seat on the site can now be bundled with a TRS six point harness, as the seats have the harness slots it needs, and with Endurance Motorsport side mounts, which we have tried in the showroom and know line up with the side bolt points on the Mirco FIA seats. The TRS harnesses are FIA approved, come with the eyebolts, and are available in a range of colours and end fittings.
Garreth’s advice is to sit in the seat before you order if you can. If not, send us your height and waist and we will tell you which Mirco models suit you.
