The Schroth Bolt-in End Fitting Kit, part SSP01324, converts a clip-in harness shoulder belt to permanent bolt-through installation. It is a straightforward steel kit, and the reason you might need it is straightforward too: clip-in harnesses attach to a harness bar via a clip on the strap end, which requires a round-section bar to hook onto. If your car has threaded mounting points in the bodywork but no bar, or if you want the shoulder belts permanently fixed, this kit replaces the clip with a flat steel end fitting that bolts directly through your chosen mounting point.
The webbing is 75mm wide, which is the standard 3-inch strap width used across the Schroth racing harness range. The kit is listed as suitable for both 4-point and 6-point harnesses, so it will work with the Schroth Profi, Enduro, Flexi and Clubman six-point belts as well as the Clubman II, Profi II-FE and similar four-point competition harnesses.
Steel construction throughout. The fitting is non-bendable, so your harness bar or mounting point needs to accept a straight-pull fitting. If your mounting angle is awkward, the Schroth 3-inch Bendable Bolt-on Kit at part 01323 is the alternative; that one has an adjustable end plate that can be angled to suit non-perpendicular mounting positions without putting a twist into the strap.
This kit does not include the harness itself. It is sold as a hardware accessory to modify an existing Schroth clip-in harness. If you are unsure whether your current harness ends are clip or bolt-type, look at where the shoulder strap meets the harness bar: a clip end hooks over the bar and stays captive as a loop, while a bolt end passes through a fixed point on the car with a bolt and retaining plate.
Fitting is straightforward with standard hand tools and does not require the harness to be returned to Schroth. If you have questions about which kit suits your installation, we are happy to advise before you order.
