The Profi 3×2 is Schroth’s top-of-range competition harness, part number 94540, and the one the factory teams actually use. Schroth supply it to F1, WRC, Porsche factory programmes and a good number of other professional series, which makes it the closest thing to a consensus benchmark that exists in racing restraints.
It is a six-point design. Two 3-inch shoulder belts, two 2-inch lap belts and a sub-strap that joins at an aircraft-type buckle. The sub-strap pulls the lap section down across the top of the thighs, which keeps you planted in the seat under braking and prevents the lap belts riding up into the abdomen in a frontal impact. The shoulder belts are 3 inches wide, and that is the detail worth understanding before ordering. The wider webbing distributes load across more of the shoulder and upper torso, which means the Profi 3×2 can be run without a HANS or FHR device and still pass FIA 8853-2016 scrutineering. If your regulations require HANS, the Profi 3×2 is also compatible. If your regulations do not, it is the only FIA homologated harness here that gives you the choice.
The lap adjusters are pull-up. You tighten by pulling the free end of the lap belt upward, which gives a positive, click-by-click ratchet feel. Some drivers prefer this when getting in alone; others find the Enduro’s pull-down system faster in a shared drive arrangement. Both are on FIA 8853-2016, so the choice is personal.
Available in black (94540-0) or red (94540-2). The harness is clip-in, meaning the shoulder belts and sub-strap clip onto a harness bar rather than bolting permanently to it. If your car does not have a harness bar and you need permanent bolt-through installation, the separate Schroth Bolt-in End Fitting Kit converts the strap ends for you.
The Enduro 3×2 at part 94500 is the same shoulder width and the same FIA approval, at a lower price point, with a different lap adjuster. If the budget is the constraint and you do not need the top-spec webbing, it does the same job in competition.
