A pair of Sparco direct fit sub-frames for the three door Vauxhall Astra Mk5. Part number 00499024-X2.

Note the three door part. Body style changes the seat mounting on a good number of cars, and a frame cut for a three door will not necessarily suit a five door of the same generation. If your Astra is a five door, tell us before you order and we will check rather than guess.

Fitment

Steel, on the 345mm by 271mm base mount pattern, using the floor mounting points already in the car. Sparco, OMP and Corbeau base mount seats all share that spacing. The old same brand only claim on this range was not correct.

Side mount competition shells need side mounts or adaption bars over the frame.

Both sides in one order, handed between driver and passenger.

Tell us the seats when you order. Frames in this range are either complete replacements or adaption bars depending on the car, and the photograph is illustrative.

In a three door the seat back tilt matters day to day, because you will be tipping the seat every time somebody gets in the back. If you are choosing between reclining seats, a rapid tilt lever is worth having. Showroom stock.

What's included?

What will be in the box? There are several types of seat frames which may be supplied depending on the vehicle and application. You may receive 1 of the following 4 types. If you are using them with a certain seat, please contact us in advance for professional advice.

#1. A full replacement frame with a sliding runner and resisitor kit
#2. A full replacement frame with a sliding runner
#3. A full replacement frame only
#4. An adaption bracket kit

Additional seat belt brackets: Each seat frame can be used for a variety of applications including road car reclining seats throuh to Motorsport FIA seats. Seat belt brackets are not required in a range of application so manufacturers generally do not supply them with their frame kits. If you require seat belt brackets please contact us in advance

NOT SUITABLE FOR OEM/FACTORY seats removed from other vehicles

Bolt point tolerances:

Please note that OMP, Sparco and various other brands have a +/- 10mm tolerance on the bolt point locations on each of their sub-frames. This means that when installing the equipment into your vehicle, you may find that one or more of the bolt points may need extending for a perfect fit.

This is normal and, when installed by a skilled professional, it may only add five minutes to the total installation time. A prime example is the OMP Renault Clio MK3 frames and the BMW E46 frames as two bolt points need extending by 5mm in 75% of installations.

Drilling of frames and equipment may be required to complete your installation.

Matching seats and frames:

There are over half a dozen different bolt patterns in the industry for base mounted seats. There are over 30 different bolt patterns for side mounted seats. Aftermarket frames from different brands will have different bolt location points.

Seats and frames are not a direct fit between brands. Seat frames are also not suitabled for OEM seats (Fitted into a vehicle from the factory) Please ensure to contact us for professional advice before purchasing your seat frames. We will be able to provide you a recommendation as to which seat frame is right for which seat.

Will I fit in this seat?
Send us your height and waist size and we will confirm the fit. how a seat actually feels to sit in is a different question, and our showroom team sit in these seats every day, so call us and we will give you the honest answer.

What does showroom stock mean?
It is physically on our Nottingham showroom floor right now, so you can come and sit in it before deciding. If you want us to hold it for a visit, call ahead and we will keep it on the floor for you.

What do I need to fit it to my car?
The car-specific frame for your vehicle, plus a sliding runner if you want fore-and-aft adjustment. Our guide on base mount versus side mount walks through the whole stack, and tell us your car and we will quote the full kit.

How do I know it will feel right, not just fit on paper?
Makers publish widths and weights, never feel, and two seats with identical numbers can feel nothing alike. We keep the ranges on display in the showroom, you are welcome to come and sit in them, and our head support measurements guide shows the kind of real-world data we collect.

Sparco stock arrives weekly

Sparco produce in batches and we receive Sparco products on a weekly basis, so the popular seats, harnesses and accessories are usually available for quick dispatch.

Less common models and colours are ordered in for you and take longer.

If you have a date

Tell us when you order and we will confirm the lead time up front rather than after the event. If it is on the shelf we will say so, and if it is coming in on the next delivery we will tell you when that is.
