Direct fit sub-frames for the Audi A3 Type 8L, from Corbeau, 245. A frame built for this one model that picks up the factory seat mounting points.
8L, not 8P
The 8L is the original A3 and the S3 of the same years. The 8P that followed in 2003 has its own frame, also 245, and the two do not swap. An early 2003 car could be either, so send the registration rather than guessing from the shape.
Shared floor
The 8L sits on the same platform as the Mk4 Golf, but Corbeau list the Audi frame separately and that is the one to order for an A3. Two sets have gone from this listing, both into S3s.
Direct fit
Uses the mounting points Audi put in the floor. No drilling, and the seat sits at a height that suits it. A universal frame can be made to work in an A3, but there is no reason to when the direct frame exists.
Base-mount seats, one per frame
Corbeau rule out side-mounted seats for these frames. A side-mount bucket needs its own mounting, and we can tell you which. What arrives depends on the car, either a full frame or runners and brackets for the factory base, so treat the picture as a guide. The frame is designed around Corbeau’s base-mounted seats, so a Sportline reclining seat or one of the Classic buckets. Each kit has its double locking runners with it and covers one seat, so the other side is a second kit.
Send us the registration and the seat and we will confirm the combination before you order.
