The Cobra Misano Anniversary for the Nissan GT-R, a reclining sport seat. Part number COBMIS-ANN-GTR.
A heavy fast car asks a lot of a seat
The GT-R generates more lateral load than most road cars, and it does it in a car heavy enough that you feel every bit of it. A seat that lets you slide is working against you: bracing with your arms means steering with your shoulders rather than your hands.
The Misano holds you through the hips and ribs properly. What it does not do is take away the recline, which matters in a car people genuinely drive long distances in rather than only lapping.
The electrics need planning
A GT-R seat is heavily wired: airbag, occupancy sensing on the passenger side, usually heating. On a car this electronic that wants working out before you start rather than during.
Tell us the year and we will confirm what yours needs.
The seat
885mm tall, 590mm wide, 620mm deep on a 520mm base, at 11.5kg. Fibreglass backrest over a steel base: the material split that keeps the reclining mechanism precise and saves the weight that an all-steel seat would add. Base mount at 291mm x 330mm, 4 point harness compatible. Road and Track approved rather than FIA homologated, which follows from the reclining mechanism.
Anniversary trim in any one or two colour leather with diamond quilted cross stitching to the centre panels and a carbon backrest. Hand trimmed in the UK, confirmed with you before it is built. Seat only.
