A Sparco Sprint seat with Land Rover Defender mounting brackets, sold as one package. Part number SPA-LR-6.
The brackets are the reason this exists. A Defender is not a car you can drop a generic sub-frame into, and working out mounting on one from scratch is a job. This package pairs the seat with brackets cut for the vehicle, so the whole thing bolts in.
The seat
The Sprint is built on a tubular steel structure rather than a moulded composite shell, which is what keeps a proper competition seat at this price. Fixed back, no head support wings, six point harness compatible, and it mounts on the base or on the sides. Sparco size it around a 32 to 36 inch waist and list it for all heights.
Black, blue or red, and the seats are handed, so choose RHD driver or RHD passenger and order twice if you want the pair.
Why a fixed back in a Defender
Two reasons. The standard seat lets you slide about, and a Defender does more sliding about than most vehicles. And a fixed back holds its shape: there is no recline mechanism to wear out or fill with mud, which in a vehicle used off road is worth more than the adjustment you give up.
If you want the FIA homologation as well as the seat, tell us. The Sprint is available in a homologated version and we can talk you through whether your use needs it.
