The Corbeau LE-Pro System 5 is the full carbon version of the LE-Pro seat, built for the Lotus tub and, thanks to its slim-line proportions and design, regularly adapted to many other cars using the Corbeau LE universal bracket. The LE-Pro fits directly onto the existing EliseVX subframe on most Lotus variants, which means no separate mounting kit is needed. The one exception is the S1 Elise and early S2, where one bolt hole needs drilling through the subframe to take the M6 fixing. On the S2 and later cars it fits without modification.
The LE-Pro sits below the LE-X in terms of side bolster height. The bolsters on the LE-Pro are lower, which makes it usable as an everyday seat for road driving as well as occasional track use. If the car sees more road miles than track time, the LE-Pro is likely a more comfortable long-term choice than the LE-X. If the balance tips the other way, the LE-X’s higher bolsters are worth having.
System 5 means full carbon fibre shell, which is the lightest option in the LE range. The compatible vehicle list is broad: S1 K-Series Elise, S2 K-Series Elise, S1 Exige and Motorsport, S2 2ZZ Exige, Lotus 340R, S2 2ZZ Elise (2004 to 2011), VX220 and Speedster, Lotus Europa, 2-Eleven, S3 1.6 Elise (2011 to 2014), V6 Exige, Roadster and Cup, S2 1ZZ Elise (2006 to 2010), S3 Elise (2011 to 2021), and the 3-Eleven.

Have you written anything about this exact product?
Yes, we have covered this exact product: Fitting Corbeau LE-Pro Bucket Seats To A Lotus Exige S2. That is first-hand coverage from our own builds and showroom, not brochure copy.
Will I fit in this seat?
The maker sizes this seat for drivers with a 32in to 36in waist. Those are the paper numbers; how a seat actually feels to sit in and climb out of is a different question, and our showroom team sit in these seats every day, so call us with your height and waist and we will give you the honest answer.
What do I need to fit it to my car?
This is a side-mount seat: it hangs between side brackets, the motorsport-style stack with fine height and angle control. You will need the car-specific frame, and a sliding runner if you want fore-and-aft adjustment. Our guide on base mount versus side mount walks through the whole stack, and tell us your car and we will quote the full kit.
Does it work with harnesses and a HANS device?
The shell takes 4 point compatible. If you are planning the full seat, harness, and HANS setup, tell us the car and we will spec it end to end.
How do I know it will feel right, not just fit on paper?
Fair question, because makers publish widths and weights, never feel, and two seats with identical numbers can feel nothing alike in the car. We keep the ranges on display in the Nottingham showroom, you are welcome to come and sit in them, and if you cannot get to us, call and describe your build, as the team sit in these seats every day. Our head support measurements guide shows the kind of real-world data we collect.
