The Renault Megane Coach, the two-door coupe version of the first-generation Megane, ran from 1996 to 2002. The fixed B-pillar and the stiffer rear floor make the coupe body the most rigid of the Megane Mk1 range, which is why it is the preferred competition base over the hatchback or saloon. The 2.0-litre 16V and the 2.0-litre IDE variants are the performance options. The Megane Coach also formed the base for the Megane Trophy single-make racing series run in France and Belgium in the late 1990s. The B platform underlying the Megane Coach has specific floor geometry that differs from the Clio Mk1 despite some shared mechanical components, and the later Mk2 Megane moved to the C platform entirely, so sub-frames for any related model are not correct here.
This Corbeau sub-frame is built around the Megane Coach’s floor fixing positions. The kit uses the original bolt points to place the Corbeau seat correctly without any drilling. Depending on the specific configuration for this floor, the kit may be a complete replacement frame with sliding runner or an adaptation bracket set.
