The Opel Tigra ran from 1994 to 2001 as a two-door coupe on the Corsa B platform. The 1.6-litre 16V produced around 100bhp and the 1.4-litre 16V was the entry point. The Tigra’s coupe body is lower and stiffer than the Corsa hatchback it is based on, and the seating position in the Tigra is lower relative to the floor. That lower height means a sub-frame developed for the Corsa B will not produce the correct seat height in the Tigra. The shorter rear roofline is also a factor: a seat mounted even slightly too high in the Tigra forces the driver’s helmet against the roof trim at a point where the taller Corsa body would still have clearance. These are the practical reasons Corbeau have developed separate sub-frames for the Tigra rather than sharing them with the Corsa.
This Corbeau sub-frame is matched to the Tigra’s specific floor fixing layout. The kit uses the original bolt points and may be a complete replacement frame with sliding runner or adaptation brackets depending on the configuration.
