Corbeau Revenge VS Cobra Sebring: Two Bespoke Trimmed FIA Seats
Bucket seats, March 2020
Two bespoke trimmed FIA bucket seats have just arrived with us, one from Corbeau and one from Cobra. The Corbeau Revenge and the Cobra Sebring are the head restraint bucket seats at the top of each of these British makers' ranges, and our customers had both trimmed in their own colours and designs.
Seeing them next to each other on the display shows what is possible when you order a seat to spec. Here is how the two compare, and how to go about designing your own.
- Corbeau Revenge: blue and black spacer fabric with white Corbeau logos
- Cobra Sebring: black with a green centre stripe and green stitching
- Both are FIA head restraint bucket seats from UK manufacturers
- Both come in two widths for different sizes of driver
- Both can be trimmed to order in your own colours and materials

What is on this page
Two flagship seats
The Revenge and the Sebring do the same job. Both are fibreglass FIA bucket seats with wraparound head restraints built into the shell, so they hold the driver’s head as well as the thighs, kidneys and shoulders. That lateral head support is what many closed car circuit drivers look for.
Each comes in two widths. Corbeau offer the Revenge and the wider Revenge XL. Cobra make the Sebring in standard and GT widths, with the GT adding room across the hips. Choosing the width that suits your build matters more than the badge on the back.
Up close, the two shells have a different character. The Revenge has pronounced wings at the shoulders and head, and this one is trimmed in bright blue spacer fabric with black panels and white Corbeau logos on the head restraints.
The Sebring here is in black, with a green centre stripe, green stitching throughout and a Cobra Motorsport logo embroidered across the top of the head restraint. Two very different looks, both built to order.

Bespoke trim and colour options
The choice of material is wide. Spacer fabric, velour and vinyl sit alongside leather, Alcantara and suede, and each can be ordered in a range of colours with contrasting stitching.
From the seats we have seen come through, the best results usually come from keeping to two or three colours at most, with a contrasting stitch to tie them together. More than that and the design starts to look busy.

Designing your own
A bespoke seat can match your car’s interior, carry your team colours, have logos added, or even be designed for a gaming rig. Whatever the idea, the process starts with a conversation: tell us the seat, the colours and where it is going, and we will make sure the design is specified correctly before it goes into production.
Garreth’s advice is to send a photo of the car or the livery with your enquiry. It makes choosing colours much easier. You can also read our guide on how deep bucket seat head supports are if you are comparing shells.
