Common questions
Does this cover the E87 hatchback too?
The SB139 is the coupe and convertible answer, the E82 and E88. For the E87 hatch we list an OMP subframe for the same generation, so tell us the body style and the right part comes out. Sending the registration settles it in one message.
What about an M140i?
Different car, related bracket: the later F20 generation takes the SB139-1. The two look similar on paper and do not swap, which is exactly why the registration check exists.
Can I use cheaper universal runners with a Recaro recliner?
No. Recaro recliners mount through Recaro’s own double locking runners and nothing else fits the seat’s interface. It is the one brand where the runner question has a single answer.
My 135i has side airbags in the standard seats. What happens there?
The Sportster CS is available with a side airbag, and the car’s own electronics need checking against whichever version you pick. That is a spec-by-spec conversation, so give Cameron the car’s details when you order and it gets checked properly before anything ships.
Do the seats keep their sliding adjustment?
Yes, that is the point of the runners: full fore and aft travel with Recaro’s double locking engagement on both rails. The recline adjustment lives in the seat itself, so nothing about daily usability is given up.
