Choosing the right product

Motorsport parts are bought on fitment and approval before anything else. Check the specification below against your car and, if you compete, against the regulations for your class.

Check the specification against your car before ordering. If anything is unclear, send us your registration or your car details and we will confirm the fit before you buy.

We have been supplying motorsport kit since 2003, so if you are unsure between two options, ask. It saves everyone the hassle of a return.

What to check before you order

Most returns come down to one of a handful of details. These are the ones that matter on this product.

  • Approval: FIA Approved, MSUK Compliant. Check this against what you already run before ordering.
  • Brand: Custom Cages. Check this against what you already run before ordering.
  • Fitting Type: Multipoint. Check this against what you already run before ordering.
  • Fitment: Weld In. Check this against what you already run before ordering.
  • Make & model: Corsa B. Check this against what you already run before ordering.

If any of it does not match what you have, ask us before you buy. We would rather answer a question than process a return.

Buying the Custom Cages Vauxhall Corsa B International Multipoint CDS Roll Cage Kit from SportSeats4u

Stock is shown live on this page. If you need the Custom Cages Vauxhall Corsa B International Multipoint CDS Roll Cage Kit for a specific event date, tell us when you order and we will confirm the lead time up front.

We have been in the motorsport trade since 2003, supplying club racers, race teams and workshops across the UK and exporting worldwide. That means the advice you get on fitment comes from people who use this kit, not from a spec sheet someone copied over.

If you are a workshop, race team or retailer, get in touch about a trade account. If you are buying for yourself and you are torn between two options, call us. Five minutes on the phone usually settles it.

Delivery, returns and fitment support

UK orders go out on a tracked service and we ship worldwide. If an order is going to an event rather than a home address, put the delivery date you need in the order notes and we will work to it.

On returns, unused items in original packaging can come back to us. Safety equipment is the exception worth knowing about: once a helmet, harness or suit has been used, we cannot resell it, so check sizing and approval carefully before you commit. Made-to-order and custom-finish items are built to your spec and are not returnable, which is exactly why we would rather talk it through first.

If you want the Custom Cages Vauxhall Corsa B International Multipoint CDS Roll Cage Kit checked against your car, your seat or the regulations you compete under, send us the details and we will confirm it. Registration number, chassis number, or the make and model of what you already run is usually enough to settle it.

Roll cage specification and fitment guide

Roll cages are not sized to you. Every one we sell is made for a specific car, so the first filter is your make, model and year. After that you are choosing four things: bolt-in or weld-in, how many mounting points, which material, and which approval you need.

Start with the regulations, not the cageWhich cage you can use is decided by your championship or club, not by preference. A cage that is wrong for your class is an expensive thing to find out about at scrutineering. Check the regulations first, then filter.

Bolt-in or weld-in

Type How it fits What it means
Bolt-in Bolts to mounting plates on the floor and sills Removable. No welding. The usual choice for a road car or a track day car
Weld-in Welded directly into the shell Permanent and stiffer. What most competition classes require

Bolt-in is the practical choice for a car that is still road registered, or one you might want to return to standard. Weld-in is stiffer, because the cage becomes part of the shell rather than something bolted to it, and it is what most competition classes require. It also means cutting trim and carpet and it is not coming out again.

Mounting points

Configuration What it is Typical use
6 point Six mounting points Rear cages and lighter installations
Multipoint Eight points minimum Full cages. What most championships ask for

A rear cage protects the driver from behind and gives you somewhere to mount harnesses. A full multipoint cage adds the front hoop and the roof. If you are fitting harnesses and nothing else, a rear cage with a harness bar may be all you need, and it is far less intrusive to live with.

Material

Material What it is Why you would pick it
CDS Cold drawn seamless steel The standard. Strongest value, heaviest of the three
T45 Carbon manganese alloy Higher strength for the weight, so a lighter cage. Costs more
25CrMo4 Chromoly The lightest for a given strength. Specialist welding, top of the range

For most road and track day cars, CDS is the right answer and the price difference is better spent elsewhere. T45 and chromoly earn their money in competition where the weight saving is worth paying for, and where the class allows them. Check your regulations, because not every class accepts every material.

Design

Design What it adds
Single fixed diagonal The simplest rear brace
Cross diagonal and harness bar Adds a harness mounting point
Multipoint cross diagonal and harness bar A fuller structure
With door bars Adds side impact protection, and makes getting in harder

Door bars are the trade-off worth thinking about. They are a real gain in side impact protection and they make climbing in and out considerably harder, which matters more than people expect in a car you use often. If the car is road driven, try getting in over a door bar before you commit.

Approvals, and what our labels mean

These are the exact terms you will see on our products, and they are not interchangeable.

AFIA Approved, and FIA / Motorsport UK HomologatedCarries an FIA homologation. What international and top-level national competition requires.
BMotorsport UK Nationally HomologatedHomologated for UK national competition.
CMotorsport UK Homologated (installation approval required)Homologated, but the fitted installation itself has to be approved as well. Factor that into your timescale.
DMSUK CompliantBuilt to the Motorsport UK specification.
ENot for competition useTrack day and road cages. Not accepted for competition.

Fitting and finish

Our cages are manufactured in the United Kingdom and supplied in bare metal, with powder coating available as an option. Bare metal is the standard because most people want to paint or coat it to match the car, and because a coated cage still has to be prepared where it welds.

Get a weld-in cage fitted properlyA weld-in cage is a structural part of the car. It wants fitting by someone who does it regularly, and where the approval says installation approval is required, it has to be signed off as well. Bolt-in cages are within reach of a competent home fit, but read the instructions before you start rather than after.

Before you order

Check the exact model and year against the product. Our cages are listed to specific variants, and a Focus Mk3 cage is not a Mk2 cage. Some are listed as rear cage only, which is easy to miss when the title otherwise matches. If your car has a sunroof, a different roof pressing or a factory option that changes the shell, tell us before you order.

Tell us the car and the championshipMake, model, year and exactly what you are competing in, or whether it is track days only. The regulations narrow the choice more than anything else, and we would rather work through it with you than have a cage come back. Call 0115 989 3488 or email Sales@GSMPerformance.co.uk.

All specifications read from our own product data across the roll cage categories, checked 2 August 2026. Approval wording is quoted as it appears on our products. Always confirm against your current championship regulations, which change.
